Ancient Ghast

The Ancient Ghast is a boss from the Nether. It is a massive Ghast, five times the size of a Giant Ghast. It can summon smaller Ghasts and has many unique attacks, making it one of the most powerful bosses in the game. It is also the first boss in Call of the Wither to have a lore.

Description[]

The Ancient Ghast looks like a regular ghast but in crimson color. It can really blend in with the Crimson Forest. Its right eye is a bit leaning toward the right. Unlike regular Ghasts, the Ancient Ghast's eyes are always open and will never close, except for one attack.

Behavior[]

The Ancient Ghast will spawn in the boss chamber of the Ancient Palace as soon as the player steps in the boss chamber. From there on the Ancient Ghast will perform its attacks in random order, and when it reaches 0 Health, will play the Death Animation.

Lore[]

So long ago, there was an unusually big ghast by the name of Etrenal. Her eyes, like her cousin Giant Ghast, were always open, and she did not cry. She was like the leader of the Ghasts. Of course, this created enemies. One day, when Etrenal was swimming in lava and "chilling out" (more like "Warming Up"), a group of Endermen kept dropping Netherrack on top of Etrenal! She was trapped for thousands of years in the lava and the netherrack, staining Etrenal crimson and giving her Ancient Powers.

Her cousin, the Giant Ghast, finally managed to somehow free the Ancient Ghast, and she later vowed to slay everything connected to Ender. This is one of the reasons the Fire Club hates all End-affiliated beings.

Attacks[]

The Ancient Ghast does not have specific Phases, unlike other Bosses, but it still has unique attacks. The order of the attacks are totally random, except when an attack is preparing for another attack.

Faceshot - Will shoot its own face, targeting the nearest player. When the shot face touches an object, it will expolode and shatter, and each of the shards deal a heart of damage when hit. Ends 5 seconds after the shot face touches an object.
Blast - The Ancient Ghast will shoot one big fireball that will make an explosion when it touches something, an explosion that is big as a Charged Creeper explosion. Ends when the fireball explodes.
Shot-3 - Shoots 3 regular Ghast fireballs at the same time, one from each of the eyes and the mouth. Ends when all of the fireballs has made contact with something.
Shot-6 - Shoots 6 regular Ghast fireballs at the same time, two from each of the eyes and the mouth. Ends when all of the fireballs has made contact with something.
Shot-9 - Shoots 9 regular Ghast fireballs at the same time, three from each of the eyes and the mouth. Ends when all of the fireballs has made contact with something.
Summoneer - Will summon 1-5 normal white Ghasts. During this attack, the Giant Ghast will hover high up, invincible, but won't attack. Ends when all of the Ghasts has been killed.
Divership - Will swoop down and touch the nearest player, lighting the player on fire and inflicting 10 damage ( x 5 Hearts). Repeats this process on another player. Ends when 3 players have been attacked or it has been 40 seconds from the time the attack started.

Death Animation[]

When the Giant Ghast reaches 0 Health, Etrenal will begin to finally cry out, a very large sound that is the "Ghast Crying Sound". Then the tentacles will stop moving, and Etrenal is trapped at the spot she was at, until her death, which is very soon. Her last words are:

"You will wreck havoc in the Nether, our realm, the perfect world that Notch created for us. To hell with you, like the terrible and horrible Endermen. In a way, you are just as bad as Herobrine. Now, the Fire Club will come for you.... Hunt you down.... And you.. will regret everything.... everything....."

The Ancient Ghast will then fall down, clipping through blocks and leaving a trail of flames before finally giving in and dying.

Trivia[]

I made the model and the texture in blockbench, as well as the animations, just for fun at school when I was bored because I didn't have anything to do. I never even intended to use it for Call of the Wither, but I did.
The Ancient Ghast is stronger than the Giant Ghast.
The Summoneer attack is intended to be spelled that way, please do not fix it.
All Nether bosses have "Hell" in their last words.
