The Crystal Hand is a mob found in The Snare. The mob floats up from the void and grabs at players, only to fall back down and despawn. Even if its brutal 28-damage attack doesn't kill the player, it can grab onto them and drag them into the void.
Though the crystal hand can be killed, it will drop back into the void on its own if simply avoided.
