The Electrocity is a rare boss that spawn in Electric Caves when summoned. It is the key to obtaining the Torch of Electricity. Can be defeated by destroying its core somehow.

Description[]

The Electrocity does not have a solid form. It has a core, which looks like a half-transparent orb (more like a cube) with electricity traveling arround it, surrounding it. It looks like a giant humanoid when in fight.

Summoning[]

The Electrocity can be summoned by destroying all 120 Soul Bulbs. The Soul Bulbs will break with one hit with any tool or weapon, swords, pickaxes, axes, hoes, etc., although some bulbs may be located in inconvenient places, such as the very top of the cave. All bulbs can be easily located, unless there is a glitch.

Drops[]

The Electrocity will drop:

  • 25-75 Megabolts

Megabolts are a necessary in order to obtain the Electricity Torch.

The Fight[]

Phase 1[]

Phase 1 is triggered as soon as the boss is summoned. It includes the basic attacks that is used by the Electrocity during the entire battle, even in other Phases.

Attacks & Actions[]

  • Bolt - The most basic attack. Will summon a bolt that zaps the player, dealing from 1-5 damage. The damage is doubled if the player is equipped with any metal gear. Ends immediately after the bolt hits an object, and can be played twice in a row as long as the victims are different.
  • Pick up 'n Drop - Will make a hand out of electricity and will use the hand to pick up the nearest player, and will hold them up to great height, only to release the grip and make the player fall. The hand will then reattach to the body and will disappear, folding into it. Attack ends after the hand has become part of the body and not an individual part.
  • Flash - Similar to the Bolt attack, but shoots 3-6 weaker bolts, called Flashes, around you, and will gradually damage you for 10 seconds. The player under this attack is paralyzed during the attack. Ends after the 10 seconds are up.
  • Shields Up! - The Electrocity will shrink to the size of 3 x 3 x 3 (normally it's 12 x 12 x 12) and will protect its core. For about 25-50 seconds, the Electrocity will block every attack it receives by making shields that disappear instantly after they served its purpose. Ends after at least 100 hits has been blocked, or the time is up.

Trivia[]

  • The Summoning part was inspired from Terraria's "Destroying stuff to summon" concept.
