The Emerald Golem is a utility mob. It does more damage than an iron golem, but has less health. It can be built with four emerald blocks in a T-shape and a carved pumpkin or jack o'lantern. Like other utility mobs, the emerald golem will never attack the player who built it, but it is neutral and will retaliate if any other player attacks it. The emerald golem is also hostile to all hostile mobs, except for creepers.
Like the iron golem, emerald golems will sink to the bottom of water, and cannot take fall damage. If killed, the emerald golem will drop emeralds and, rarely, an emerald block.
In the 1.18 update and afterwards, emerald golems will join in Mob Sieges on the player's home if the player has severely upset a village. This is in spite of the fact that emerald golems do not naturally appear in villages or bear much resemblance to villagers, unlike the iron golems and coal golems that join in the siege.
