The Ender Blaze is a mob found in The End, which is very similar to the Blaze found in The Nether. Ender Blazes, like Nether Blazes, sit in one spot and launch fireballs at the player, and can hover around if hit. Ender Blazes do much less physical damage to the player on contact, but can teleport away.
The Ender Blazes' attack is acidic, like the Ender Dragon's breath, rather than fire-based like the Nether Blazes', so it cannot be blocked by fire resistance potions.
Ender Blazes spawn naturally in the following biomes:
- Small End Islands
- End Midlands
- End Highlands
- End Barrens
- Ender Spikes
- Ender Depths
This means that Ender Blazes will only ever be encountered naturally in The End, though they can also spawn in superflat worlds using any of those biomes as a preset.
Additionally, Ender Blazes spawn regularly in End Cities, and will continue to spawn there even if the biome is changed via hacks. This spawn allows them to hang around the platforms of end cities and harass players flying with elytras. Being hit by a Shulker can make the player especially vulnerable to an Ender Blaze attack.
Like other End mobs, the Ender Blaze will be damaged by water, splash water bottles, and rain and attempt to teleport away to a safe place. Ender Blazes will often simply teleport themselves up and continue attacking.
Unlike Endermen and Ender Warriors, Ender Blazes will not attack Endermites. However, Ender Blazes are hostile to Aqua-Blazes.
