The Far Dragon is an albino dragon and roving overworld boss that can be found only on the outer fringes of the map. The Far Dragon spawns outside of the World Border, but can freely pass through it without issue, and will gladly do so to attack the player.
Unlike the Ender Dragon or Wither, the Far Dragon is not hostile to any other mob aside from the player unless provoked by them first. Notably, the Yeti and Far Dragon will never turn hostile to each other, even if one accidentally hits the other, hinting there may be some affiliation between the two.
If the world is too small, the Far Dragon will never spawn. If the world is too big, it becomes increasingly difficult to find a Far Dragon. Only 1-9 dragons will spawn in total, depending on the world seed. Once the dragons are killed off, they will disappear from the world forever, and it is impossible for any more to spawn, even if the world border changes size.

The Far Dragon is a boss mob, it shoots explosive fireballs and will cause damage to the player if touched. If killed, the Far Dragon will drop only dragon bones.
The Far Dragon is statistically identical to the Ender Dragon in health and attacks. It is a bit easier to fight as it does not have the aid of Ender crystals, and the player does not have to contend with the endermen.

Trivia
- The Far Dragon's placement and relation to the End is a reference to the fact that when Notch was naming endermen, he considered calling them "Farlanders" and renaming the Far Lands to "The End" before instead making it its own dimension.[1]
