The Fireproof Suit is a set of armor that helps the player resist heat-based damage. Each piece of armor gives the player 25% fire resistance, with the full set granting the player complete immunity to fire and other heat damage. It was added in Minecraft 1.17.
The fireproof suit has the same normal damage protection as leather armor for all non-heat damage. As a result, using the fireproof suit instead of a much stronger armor paired with a fire resistance potion is a tradeoff. The fireproof suit is often preferable when fighting mobs that dwell in hot environments and inflict potion effects on the player that are more damaging than their physical attacks, requiring the player to drink milk and remove not only the negative potion effect, but their own fire resistance effect as well.

- The fireproof suit is based off of asbestos suits used by firefighters and volcano scientists in the early 1900s.
- Thus, despite its gray, somewhat metallic appearance, it is not made of metal, and is not affected by Electric Damage.
