Minecraft: The Movie is an upcoming 2019 3D live-action comedy fantasy action-adventure Minecraft film produced by Roy Lee and Jill Messick, and directed by Rob McElhenney for Warner Bros. Pictures and Mojang.

Movie Type: Live-Action/CGI

Creepers, Ghasts, Snow Golems, Portals, Ender Dragons, and some of the animals are animated in CGI.

Iron Golems, Endermen, Zombies, Skeletons, and Pigmen are performed with motion capture technology.

Steve, Alex, Notch, Herobrine, Villagers, the rest of the human characters, and animals are performed in live-action.

The sequences are filmed in live action using Panavision Panaflex cameras and IMAX/OMNIMAX cameras while CGI animation and visual effects are created using Autodesk Maya, Adobe After Effects, and Pixar's Renderman.

It's a live-action 3D comedy fantasy action-adventure Minecraft film.
