Notch of the Skylands
Notch is the founder of Minecraft, a god-like person in the Minecraft world, and king of the Skylands. The legend goes that when he noticed the only life was in the sky, he used his power to put some on the ground. That power became Minecraftia. He is famous for plucking up humans from another dimension, due to his interest in them.
His real name is Markus Persson. His enemy 'equivalent' is Herobrine.
Powers and Abilities[]
Notch has most of the general powers of any being on a higher plane of existence; he can summon some form of creature to come to his aid, or encase himself in an energy shield, as well as superhuman strength, speed, and stamina. Some special skills include being able to cause life to grow or evolve, or even come into being. He created most of the friendly creatures on Minecraftia, however, he couldn't make beings intelligent.

- His brother Herobrine took over the Nether when he felt unliked. During the events of Surviving Herobrine, he is Herobrine's hidden brother.
- He is based on the creator of Minecraft.
- In The Major God Chronicles, Notch had a supporting role. He, like his siblings in the first book, was stripped of his godlike powers and banished to the Void. After he was freed, he attempted to kill Jordan, the Ender Dragon, but when Jordan turned his sights on Andramia, Notch took the blow and was killed.
- On June 1st, Notch's birthday, Cake Golems spawn in villages.
