The Overguard is a golem-like mob that looks like an iron golem but has navy glowing eyes and an ender black body. It is 3.5 blocks tall and can burst down dirt. They are a hard opponent in the Overworld because they blend in with the darkness of night.

Spawn[]

Overworld[]

Usually in very large caves that at least five blocks tall. They will spawn only at a light level of 7 or less in caves, strongholds, dungeons, very dense forests (needs to be at least 5 blocks tall!), and desert biomes. They spawn 250 times rarer than zombies in deserts and forests, but only 50 times rarer than a zombie in enclosed naturally generated structures.

Nether[]

Spawns on soulsand, usually. They are 1.5x rarer than ghasts. In fortresses, they are 2x as rare as wither skeletons. They need to spawn out in the open because fortress ceilings are usually less than 5 blocks high. They will only attack blazes or skeletons over players when provoked, as they are neutral to mobs but hostile to players and golems.

Ferro[]

Spawns near ferro oceans about 180x rarer than ferrums.

Halotine[]

Spawns in cryo bays like nortates. Overguards will spawn 8x rarer than nortates.

Punch[]

Overguards punch, like iron golems.

Behavior[]

Overguards will sometimes move around, and will fight golems and players within a 35 block radius. They have excellent pathfinding skills, and will be more aggressive to a golem than to a player if the golem is not inside of a house. They will sometimes look for a village every 4 minutes or so. In the Netther or Ferro, they will walk toward a fortress.
