The Pilgrim Ship is a large boat that transports sailing Pilgrim pillagers across the ocean. It has both an entity form and a structure form. As an entity, it spawns into oceans and sails across the seas. It is armed with dispensers that fire iron blocks at the player, dealing 24 damage. The iron blocks will break apart and sometimes drop iron ingots if they do not hit the player.
The ship sails at a reasonable speed (given its size, this is fairly fast) and can outspeed the small boats available to the player. It is unwieldy and has a hard time changing direction. While its AI is very good at plotting out its course, this can be disrupted by the player placing blocks in its path. Hitting blocks will do damage to the boat, while also breaking most blocks. The bow of the ship colliding with a mob, including the player, will injure them for 8 damage, as well as smash boats and minecarts.
Due to the ships' affiliation with illagers, it will attack villagers and related mobs on sight, and other illagers will not attack it.
If the ship is destroyed, it will dramatically sink in a long animation, collapsing in on itself. Several pilgrims will be spawned into the water near its wreckage and large sums of gunpowder, iron, and wood will float to the surface. If the ship reaches its destination successfully, however, the entity version will despawn and the structure version spawn in its place.
As a structure, the pilgrim ship's most notable feature is its pilgrim spawner, which continuously spawns pilgrims. Not only does the spawner work as a normal spawner, but as long as this spawner is active, pilgrims will start to spawn in groups in the surrounding biomes. Once the spawners is broken, this reign of terror ends.
The pilgrim ship structure is full of chests that can be looted for iron and gold, as well as Flintlocks, if the player is lucky. The dispensers the ship uses as cannons, now non-functional, can also be looted for gunpowder and iron blocks.
The player can loot Ominous Banners off the ship, whether by destroying it as an entity or mining them from it as a structure.
