Reclaimed are hostile mobs found in the deep woods biome. These undead have, as the name suggests, been reclaimed by the abundant plant life of the biome. The reclaimed are partially skeletonized zombies with decrepit, dried skin and worn brown clothing, covered in vines.
Reclaimed do not burn in daylight, and are thus a constant threat while in the deep woods. Reclaimed can knock down wooden doors in normal & hard difficulty settings and even smash through glass/glass panes to reach the player on hard mode. Thankfully for the player, reclaimed do not spawn in groups.
Reclaimed will hunt down and kill villagers and wandering traders in the unlikely circumstance they come into contact with eachother, but can not transform them into zombie villagers. Reclaimed do not attack turtles, unlike zombies and husks. Reclaimed may rarely spawn with an iron or leather chestplate, iron or leather helmet, and/or iron or gold axe.
Reclaimed are much faster than zombies, and with the abundance of trees in their home biome, are likely to knock players back into them and deal a flurry of blows while the player can't be knocked back far enough to avoid them. Like other undead, reclaimed are weak to the smite enchantment, and are damaged by potions of healing (though healed by potions of harming), so the player can use this to their advantage while fighting reclaimed.
In the 1.18 update and subsequent versions, reclaimed appear in mob sieges in the deep woods biome.
