The Red Dinocerous is a hostile mob that can use armor and weapons like the player. It was made largely to show off the new combat system of Minecraft 1.18. The red dinocerous has a model similar to the player's, but with the addition of three claws on each hand, and a tail. The red dinocerous is red and reptilian looking, with a tan belly and pitch black eyes with white pupils.
The red dinocerous is on par with the player in terms of speed and agility. Capable of climbing, swimming, and jumping like the player, the red dinocerous can even open fence gates, and knock down doors, in pursuit of the player, as well as shattering glass panes. It will take a bit longer to smash through a proper glass block, but is capable of doing so. The red dinocerous has a smart AI, and will use its abilities to hunt the player down without relent.
The only difficulty mode this mob spawns in is hard mode. Though it can spawn in the wild at random, the chances of that are very low, but higher than the blue varient. The red dinocerous is most commonly seen in mob sieges, helping an army of mobs besiege the player's home. The red dinocerous also spawns a bit more commonly near temples, but is still a very rare sight there.
This mob will almost always spawn with either an iron sword or iron axe, and often times a shield, making it quite deadly. Just like the player, the red dinocerous is affected by the weight of the iron axe, and swings slower than with a sword.
If facing this monster without at least a shield and iron sword/axe yourself, it may be wiser to dig down and burrow away rather than stay and fight. However, if the mob is without a shield, it is vulnerable to ranged attacks; Furthermore, The red dinocerous has no defense against potions or traps.
