The Moon is a dimension with lunar rock and helium-3. It is introduced in the 1.24 "Lunar Update". Lunar zombies occasionally spawn.

Portal[]
The lunar portal is built using a frame, similar to the Photic Dimension. The frame must be made from andesite, with blocks of glowstone in the corners. The middle must be nether bricks. Strike the portal with at least 100000 joules of redstone current in less than half of a second.
Ores[]
The moon is mostly made up of lunar rock. It goes up to Y=260, assuming the moon has a height of 1024, like the Overworld and the Photic.

Regolith is the three layers above the lunar rock. Regolith is good as one can find airsoft regolith to harvest helium-3 from.
Lunar Structures[]
Lunar Villages[]
There are villages on the Moon, which will try to spawn once in 7500 chunks. There is a 5.62% chance that a lunar village will be a lunar empire. Lunar villages usually span 32 block radii from the village center. Just like normal villages have iron golems, terbium golems defend lunar villages. Note that lunar terbium is only about 500 ppm rarer than iron in the overworld.
Lunar Empire[]
A lunar empire is much larger than a village. An empire usually spans between 1024 and 16384 blockis from the village center. Empires commonly have tens of thousands of villagers of population and hundreds to thousands of terbium golems.
Lunar Fortresses[]
Lunar fortresses are just as rare as fortresses are in the Nether. They are made of lunar brick and host Stirelunis. Lunar zombies and lunar skeletons spawn a lot in a lunar fortress. Lunar ghasts rarely spawn on the moon. These have the material in chests to build ten portals, and the power to ignite 1500.
